What the prescription does. What it doesn't.

The medication

  • Reduces appetite
  • Slows digestion
  • Moves the number on the scale
  • Comes with nausea weeks and dose escalations

Your coach, every week

  • Protein targets that protect muscle while the scale moves
  • Strength twice a week, timed around dose days
  • A plan for the nausea weeks, and a side-effect log your prescriber can see
  • What happens when you stop, planned from month one
  • Questions about dose, side effects or labs written down for your prescriber

The scale is the easy part.Muscle, protein, and the nausea weeks are where people on GLP-1s get no help at all. Your coach works the part in between. The prescription stays with your doctor.

Ninety days on the path.

The plan the prescription doesn’t come with. Each step has an owner.

WK 1Protein target set. Side-effect log started. Your benefits explained: what the plan covers, what the letter means.
WK 2–3Strength twice a week. Questions for the weight clinic and your PCP prepared.
WK 4–6First plateau worked. Sleep and the evening snack tested against the scale.
WK 7–10Dose escalation with a nausea plan. Muscle protected. Questions ready for your prescriber.
WK 11–13Ninety-day review: strength, energy, how you feel. Questions for your prescriber about what comes next.

Your coach, every week.

The prescription is one job. Everything else is still yours: protein, strength, the nausea weeks, and what happens when you stop. That's the weekly session.

Muscle

A meaningful share of weight lost on GLP-1 medications can be lean mass unless protein and strength work are in place. That is what the weekly session protects.

Straight answers.

Can you get my GLP-1 covered?

No. Coverage decisions are your insurer's and the prescription is your doctor's. Your coach helps you prepare the questions. In Virginia, Clinical Care Navigation can explain what your plan says.

Do you prescribe GLP-1s?

No. Your prescriber does. Your side-effect log lives in your file, ready to bring to every visit.

What happens when I stop the medication?

That's planned from month one: protein, strength, and a taper conversation with your prescriber, not a cliff.

Do you talk to my doctors or handle referrals?

Your coach works on nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress; clinical questions go to your own doctor. We don't file appeals or interfere with a specialist's decisions. In Virginia, Clinical Care Navigation adds a nurse who helps you understand your results and benefits and gets your appointments scheduled and sequenced.
